Certification of 2017 State accounts
Description
The Court of Auditors publishes the act certifying the State accounts for the financial year 2017, drawn up pursuant to Article 58 of the Organic Law on Finance Laws (LOLF).
The Court certifies that, in accordance with the accounting rules and principles applicable to it, the 2017 General State Account, drawn up on 16 May 2018, is fair and true, and gives a true and fair view of the financial position and assets of the State, subject to four substantial reservations.
The net position of the State stood at -€1 260 billion at the end of 2017, i.e. four years of tax revenue, compared with only two at the end of 2006, the first financial year certified by the Court.
