**EmTech is the place to discover the latest trends in new technologies and where to understand how these technologies shape the society of the future.** EmTech returned to France on 2 and 3 October at the Quai des Savoirs in Toulouse. This 2018 edition goes beyond the previous ones by extending its reach to the European level. EmTech is the abbreviation for Emerging Technologies, the largest international conference organised by MIT Technology Review, the world’s oldest technology journal owned by the prestigious Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). This annual event aims to present and promote the innovations and technologies that will impact the society of tomorrow. On those two days; entrepreneurs, investors, executives, tech journalists, private companies, public institutions and members of the Innovators Under 35 community will have the opportunity to discuss and collaborate on various challenges, workshops and networking activities. The conference also hosts the Start & Meet-UP; a competition that gives visibility to startups that are developing new technologies or reinventing how to use existing technologies to solve problems or bring innovative added value to their customers. The 10 selected startups will have the opportunity to present their project to the entire audience of EmTech Europe. Applications to participate in the Start & Meet-UP are open until June 17, 2018.
