Description
The dataset contains the data prepared for INSPIRE from the information system Raw Materials Map of North Rhine-Westphalia 1:50.000 (solid rock) [IS RK 50 FG]. This represents the distribution and near-surface occurrences of non-energy solid rock raw materials in North Rhine-Westphalia. The raw material groups (carbonate rock, sandstone, clay stone and vulcanite) and raw material names of the original dataset have been adapted to the INSPIRE data model Mineral Resources. Lithologies and the chronostratigraphic classification were also adopted and mapped to the thematically related data model for geology.
