Register of archaeological monuments of Kujawsko-Pomorskie Voivodeship
Description
The collection contains data on archaeological sites entered in the register of monuments of Kujawsko-Pomorskie province, i.e. the areas in which they are located in the original context (in situ), archaeological sources – relics of human activity in the past. The sites may manifest on the surface in the form of a terrain form (houses, curhanes, mounds, ruins) or movable archaeological monuments (usually fragments of ceramics) determining the existence of a settlement, cemetery or a site with a different function. The registration of archaeological monuments in the register is made by the provincial conservator of monuments by means of a decision. On a national scale, the register contains more than 7,600 immovable archaeological monuments (sites).
