Remuneration policies and practices of independent administrative and public authorities
Description
Independent administrative authorities and independent public authorities operate in a wide variety of areas, with the aim of preserving certain freedoms and regulating economic sectors. The Court analysed, over the period 2011-2016, the growth of their staff, the increase in their payroll and the evolution of the remuneration paid to their presidents, members of their colleges and their staff. The recruitment policies examined are characterised by a high degree of diversity and autonomy, and attractive and insufficiently regulated remuneration. The Court makes a number of recommendations aimed at ensuring better control of the staffing and remuneration expenditure of these authorities.
