Description

Introduced by an analysis of the overall state of public finances at the end of January 2018, Volume I of the Court of Auditors’ 2018 Annual Public Report presents a selection of observations followed by recommendations, concrete measures to improve the use of public funds and the efficiency of public services. Its 15 chapters are grouped around four themes: public finances, public policies, public property management and territories. They highlight failures, but also progress and successes. Volume II presents the follow-up given by the administrations, communities and other bodies audited to the observations and recommendations made in previous years. For the first time, a chapter is devoted to the follow-up of the recommendations of the regional and territorial chambers of accounts, pursuant to the law of August 2015 on the new territorial organisation of the Republic. 12 chapters are then grouped into three categories, depending on the degree of implementation of the recommendations, expressed in three colours: green (Court notes progress), orange (Court insists) and red (Court alert). Finally, Volume III presents the organisation and tasks of the Court and the Regional and Territorial Audit Chambers.
