Description
The Institut Pasteur, a private foundation recognised as being of public utility, occupies a special place in the French research landscape because of its founder’s historical importance and its national and international reputation.
The Court of Auditors audited the use of the resources that the Institut Pasteur collected from the public for the financial years 2013 to 2016. Following its review, the Court finds that the use of those funds is generally consistent with the objectives pursued by the call for public generosity, subject, on the one hand, to a presentation of the account for the use of resources derived from public generosity better tracing the running costs and, on the other hand, to a substantial improvement in the information provided to donors on the significant proportion of donations and legacies used to supplement the endowment fund.
