PDB and access to higher education: a contested provision to be reformed
Description
Admission post-baccalaureate (APB) is a public digital platform from which a bachelor makes applications to integrate the first year of higher education training. It includes two algorithms: an allocation algorithm, which crosses the preferences of institutions and applicants, and a ranking algorithm, which prioritises applications for university degrees.
The operating procedures of PDBs, which are not transparent and do not comply with the Education Code, highlight the inconsistencies in the conditions of access to undergraduate education. Useful technical progress but now legitimately criticised, PDB needs to be reformed.
