3D-models of loose rock in Lower Saxony - Varel-Nordenham
Description
Based on the data from the Lower Saxony drilling database, a hydrogeological 3D model between Weser and Jadebusen was created at the State Office for Mining, Energy and Geology (LBEG). In total, the model maps the subsurface up to the Pliocene base in 12 geological units. The stratum sequence includes Old Pleistocene units, the deposits of the Elster, Saale and Vistula cold periods up to the most recent deposits of the Holocene, as well as deposits of the Eem warm period.
