FMI-ENFUSER air quality model
Description
FMI-ENFUSER (The Finnish Meteorological Institute’s Environmental Information Fusion Service) produces air quality data in urban areas with high resolution. The model is based on instantaneous releases (Gaussian puff) and utilises historical air quality measurement data as well as the latest available air quality observations in the modelling area. Background concentrations of pollutants and long-distance transports are derived from the regional scale model (FMI-SILAM). Meteorological data for the dispersion model are obtained from weather forecasting models such as HIRLAM, ECMWF or GFS depending on the modelling area.
