Historical
Between 2003 and 2008, 3310 town centres were identified as without mobile coverage. To date, only 3 municipalities of Occitanie from this list are not covered (2 in Ariège and 1 in the Gard)
— Two new censuses of town centres in white areas were carried out by the state with mobile operators and local elected officials
— End of 2015: 72 new white areas have been identified in Occitanie;
— Early 2017: 17 additional central-bourg white areas.
— During his wishes to the territories in January 2016, the President of the Republic announced that all the costs associated with the construction of the towers will be borne by the State

As of 1 July 2017, the Occitanie region has 90 white areas centre-bourg:
— 1 municipality of a programme prior to 2015 (Colognac in Gard)
— 72 municipalities following the census carried out at the end of 2015
— 17 municipalities following the census carried out at the end of 2016 (most of which were validated directly by mobile operators in November 2016)
