Road network

Description

Geometry representing the distribution of roads based on Swedish standard SS637004 for road network connection. The road network type is described by the attribute TRAFFIC _TYPES which is a bitworm where: 1=car network, 2=bike network, 4=ferry route, 8=walking network. The classification is hierarchical and describes the design of the road facility and not what actually applies legally. The legal characteristics are described in the Local Traffic Regulations (LTF). Hierarchical classification means that the road network is at the top. Here, design is primarily car traffic, but it can occur both walking and cycling. This is followed by a cycle path network. Here, design is primarily bike, but gait can occur. But not car traffic. The pedestrian network is designed for pedestrian traffic only. There can sometimes be problems with downloading the entire road network as there is a lot of data to be processed (all of Stockholm County).
