Open PHMEV: bases on hospital prescriptions for medicines delivered in cities

Description

The PHMEV data offer consists of a set of annual inter-scheme databases, covering reimbursements of medicines prescribed by public institutions and ESPIC (private health institutions of collective interest) and issued in city pharmacies from 2014 to 2022. All data are extracted from the national inter-scheme system of Sickness Insurance (Sniiram). Data on the drug are reported through the ATC classification. The ATC classification is used to classify drugs according to a hierarchical principle. Medicinal products are divided into different groups according to the organ or system on which they act and/or their therapeutic and chemical characteristics. The beneficiary is characterised by its age group and gender. This offer is based on two types of datasets: Base complète PHMEV: The complete PHMEV database includes the prescribing hospital described by its number (geographical for the APHP and the Red Cross (as well as for military hospitals from 2017) or legal for other establishments), its legal category and its geolocation elements. Base régionale PHMEV: In addition, hospital prescriptions issued in cities are returned, at a more aggregated level, through the region in which the establishments are located (geographical region for the APHP and the Red Cross (military hospitals from 2017) , management region for the others) and their legal category.
