Young people with youth care and youth care pathways; neighborhoods, 2016
Description
This table contains figures on the number of young people who received youth care (youth assistance, youth protection and/or probation) in 2016 and the number of pathways in which this youth care was provided. The data on young people are broken down by age and the composition of the household at the start of care. The youth care programs are divided according to perspective and referrer. The data is also broken down by municipality and district.
The classification by municipality and district is based on the address of the young person’s authority. The residence principle as applied in the Youth Act which entered into force from 2015 onwards was based on the principle of residence. When the address has been changed during the reporting period, the youngest is assigned the most recent address in this table.
For the number of young people, the aggregation of type of youth care may be greater than the (sub)total. A young person may have multiple pathways with different types of youth assistance.
Data available for 2016. Figures by municipality and district will appear in a new table every year. Figures for 2015 and 2017 can be found via the link ‘Tables Youth Care after 1-1-2015’ in paragraph 3.

All figures are final.
Changes as of 1 November 2017:
— All 2016 figures have been replaced by final figures.
— From 2016 onwards, the subject ‘Judge, Prosecutor of Justice, Judicial Youth Institution Officer’ has been added to the topics group ‘Referrer’.
— This table has been discontinued.
Changes as of 23 June 2017:
The preliminary figures for 2016 have been corrected. Due to a technical error, the data of some youth help providers were not correctly processed. The impact of this correction on the total number of youth assistance programmes and young people with youth assistance is minimal. In most cases, differences are also negligible in the case of a breakdown by forms of youth assistance and regions. Only in the region of South Limburg in the forms of nursing care and ‘ambulatory assistance in the youngster’s network’ the effects are greater, as the clients of the relevant youth assistance providers live in that region in particular.
When will there be new figures?
None, this table has been discontinued. Figures for 2017 have been published in a new table. This can be found via the link “Tables Youth Care after 1-1-2015” in section 3.
