These data come from the French Atlas of Decentralised Cooperation, set up in 2009 by the National Commission for Decentralised Cooperation (CNCD), whose General Secretariat is provided by the Delegate for External Action of Local and Regional Authorities of the MAEDI. They list the 11,100 international projects and partnerships (cooperation agreements, twinning and other external actions) of 4,700 French authorities (regions, departments, municipalities and inter-communal structures) in 133 countries.
