In summary, it should be noted that at Johnsbach, the hydromorphological problems must be solved as a matter of urgency by means of sufficient residual water dotation and by means of renaturation of the construction sections in order to be able to build up a fish stock that allows significant fishing use.
However, in order to achieve the objective of good ecological status according to the Water Framework Directive, a massive improvement of the brook trout stock in the Johnsbach must be carried out in order to achieve the objective of good ecological status under the Water Framework Directive, which in turn seems realistic only after solving the hydromorphological problems mentioned above.
