Provision of air quality data on France (www.prevair.org)
Description
PREV’AIR offers a selection of air quality products accessible every day at 9am (local time in metropolitan France). The data made available are **forecast** (up to D+ 2) and**analysis** (optimal representation on the basis of modelling and real-time observations available daily for the day before J-1) of the surface concentrations (in µg/m³) of the main pollutants, namely **ozone** (O3) and **particles** (PM10). The values provided relate either to the hourly maximum of the day or to the daily average.
The data are available in the form of maps covering metropolitan France at a spatial resolution of about 2 km. Longitude latitude variables (lat/lon) corresponding to the center of the model’s mesh.
The files are in netcdf format, see for example [this page](http://www.esrl.noaa.gov/psd/data/gridded/tools.html) for examples of uses.
The open license of the etalab mission requires that the producer of these data be identified in any reuse, which can be done, for example, with the mention: ‘Data from the national air quality forecasting platform www.prevair.org’.
