Provision of air quality data on France (www.prevair.org)

Description

The national air quality forecasting platform PREV'AIR, developed and managed on a daily basis by INERIS in collaboration with Météo-France, CNRS and LCSQA, offers a selection of air quality products accessible every day at 8 a.m. (local time in metropolitan France). The data made available concern the **forecast** (up to D+3) and the**analysis** (optimal representation based on real-time modelling and observations available daily for the day before D-1) of the surface concentrations (in μg/m3) of the main pollutants, namely **ozone** (O3) and **particles** (PM10). The values provided relate either to the hourly maximum of the day or to the daily average. Data are available in the form of maps covering metropolitan France at a spatial resolution of approximately 10 km. The latitude longitude variables (lat/lon) corresponding to the center of the grid cells of the model. The files are in netcdf format, see for example [this page] (http://www.esrl.noaa.gov/psd/data/gridded/tools.html) for examples of uses. The Open Licence for the etalab mission requires that the producer of these data be mentioned in any reuse, which can be done for example with the mention: ‘Data from the national air quality forecasting platform www.prevair.org’
