Description
The **Digital Barometer** is a reference study on the adoption by the French **of digital equipment and uses**. It is the result of a collaboration between the Autorité de régulation des communications électroniques, des postes et de la distribution de la presse (**Arcep**), the Conseil général de l'économie (**CGE**), the Programme Société Numérique de l'**ANCT**, to which the**Arcom** joined in 2022.
Until 2019, the Centre de recherche pour l'étude et l'observation des conditions de vie (**Crédoc**) interviewed face-to-face a sample of more than 2 000 people representative of the French population. Since 2020, the collection method has been modified: 4 000 people are interviewed, on the basis of a mixed compendium, online and by telephone.
Among the topics covered in this study are the adoption of digital equipment, digital practices, environmental issues, inequalities in access and skills.
Two databases are available:
- The database of all surveys between 2007 and 2023;
- The 2023 survey database.
To document this data, two files are available:
- The dictionary containing all the questions asked between 2007 and 2023;
- The dictionary of questions asked in 2023.
