Digital Orthophotos Lower and Outer Elbe (DOP020) WSA Hamburg 2010
Description
Digital orthophotos (DOP) are high-resolution, distortion-free images of the Earth's surface. Digital orthophotos are true to scale and can thus be directly compared with maps of the same scale or digitally combined with specialist data, for example road planning. The DOP data is available in ECW and GeoTIFF data format and is georeferenced to a scale of 1:1,000. They have a standard tile size of 1 km x 1 km. The spatial resolution is 0.2 m. The data volume of the DOP (TIFF uncompressed) is about 100 MB per raster file. The processing area covers the Elbe watercourse from Geesthacht (BWaStr-km 585) to the outer Elbewatt (BWaStr-km 750). The city of Hamburg is described in a sparse data set. The orthophotos are also available as 4-channel images (R, G, B, IR) from the responsible body.
