Environmental vision - Wind turbines in GNN under conditions
Description
Exceptions to the ban on new installation of wind turbines within the Gelders nature network GNN are possible under certain conditions. An exception is made for a limited number of developments, only in the least vulnerable nature for those functions. An exploratory area has been formulated for the installation of wind turbines. The update plan was adopted by the Provincial Council on 13 December 2017.
The map layers of wind energy from the environmental vision are a technical approach with which possibilities and limitations for wind energy have been mapped. After going through a participatory process and administrative coordination, search areas for wind energy have been included in the first version of the Regional Energy Strategies (RES1.0, 2021).
The information about wind in the environmental vision has now been overtaken by the RES.
