VD - Development of the German vehicle fleet in road haulage - Time series

Description

The monthly time series shows the development of the average stock of large goods vehicles registered in Germany. These are the trucks contained in the Central Vehicle Register (ZFZR) of the Federal Motor Transport Authority (KBA), whose payload exceeds 3.5 tonnes, as well as all tractor units. The number of vehicles is determined on the 15th of each month. The legal basis for the census is the requirement from the Transport Statistics Act (VerkStatG) for the compilation of road haulage statistics.
