Acoustic effectiveness of passive sound insulation measures - Auralisation

Description

Extensive audio files were created as part of a research project carried out by LÄRMKONTOR GmbH for the Federal Highway Research Institute (BASt). These are the audio examples for the emission spectra of passing motor vehicles at different speeds, the emission spectra in front of the house facade for different propagation situations (distances, without/with shielding) and finally for the interior levels with the window closed with different sound insulation classes. To create the audio samples, a 30-second white noise was first generated. By applying the emission spectra (63 to 5000 Hz) adjusted for the A rating to this noise, the respective audio examples for the sound spectra were generated. The audio files can be downloaded as wav files. A detailed description of the file structure and the contents of the individual files, including the specification of third level values, can be found under "Appendix 1 Auralisation".
