V2X-DuRail Radio interference data between urban cooperative, intelligent traffic systems in road and rail transport

In both urban road and rail transport, networked intelligent transport systems (C-ITS) use radio systems in the 5.9 GHz ITS frequency band. This initially seems unproblematic when underground and suburban trains run underground in large cities and the incompatible C-ITS radio systems are spatially separated. On closer inspection, however, there are many areas where urban rail and road traffic run side by side. Radio systems can therefore interfere with each other and a reliable functionality of C-ITS is not necessarily guaranteed. The aim of the V2X-DuRail project was to measure and analyse these disturbances and interferences. The following activities were carried out in the project: * a 4-day interference measurement campaign with the "DB advanced TrainLab" (train), a base station and two DLR measuring vehicles on the S-Bahn "Süd-Ring" in Berlin. * 51 measurements in different environments with different driving manoeuvres and settings of the radio systems. * Measurement of radio propagation between jammers and train (including generic radio system for 5G radio systems). * Recording the position of all vehicles with GNSS receivers and for road vehicles LIDAR data.
