Description
The Map Service (WMS Group) presents the spatial data from the Saarland landscape program the theme map Forest and Agriculture.: The landscape program presents suitable areas for forest development from a local nature conservation perspective. Exclusion areas were, among other things, highly productive agricultural sites (priority agricultural area) and areas of landscape to be kept open for reasons of species conservation. These “forest development areas” must be further concreteised within the municipal landscape planning in order to reach the representation of “forest development areas”. In this context, local landscape-aesthetic situations (e.g. landscape design) as well as the local rights of species protection (within the meaning of the provisions relating to Annex I — Species to the Birds Directive or Annex IV — Species to the Habitats Directive) must also be clarified. In order to avoid isolated small-area reforestations in the landscape, only forest development areas with a determined potential of 50 hectares are represented by a symbol. see Saarland Landscape Programme, Chapter 9.9
