Description
The general accounting framework used by local authorities is the instruction known as ‘M14’. In each nomenclature, expenditure and revenue are classified, according to their nature, by chapter and article. This classification by nature is supplemented by a codification by function which makes it possible to trace all the revenue and expenditure of a local authority by sector of activity. (e.g.: 0 = GENERAL SERVICES, 1 = PUBLIC SAFETY AND SAFETY, 3 = EDUCATION TRAINING...)
