Contours (polygons) of the 13 Public Institutions of Intercommunal Cooperation that will compose/cut up the department of Essonne from 1 January 2016 in application of the NOTRe law.
Source data come from the Departmental Council of Essonne; they were initially based on the contours of the communes of the RGE® of IGN.
The contours of the EPCI are derived from the aggregation (merger) of those of the GEOFLA® communes of IGN.
The indicative figures for the populations of these EPCIs (field “SUM_P12_PO”) are derived from [data at INSEE commune (2012 census]](http://www.insee.fr/fr/themes/detail.asp?reg_id=99&ref_id=base-cc-evol-struct-pop-2012).
