Nomenclature: new Regions Code 2016
Description
From 1 January 2016 the list of French regions changed following several mergers. This file corresponds to the new 2016 nomenclature of regions in the format of the geographical code, as published by INSEE in 2016
INSEE now proposes and maintains the official reference of the names of the regions and their code on the [Official Geographical Code](https://www.data.gouv.fr/fr/datasets/code-officiel-geographique-cog/). You should no longer use the 2016 version here, especially as the names of three regions have changed.
On the other hand, I leave the correspondence between the old and the new region codes. The file has been updated to reflect the final names.
