Internet speed in Finland – Review 2019

Nopeustesti - Finnish net speed – review 2019

Overview of data published by Ookla and Speedtest.com on the speeds of the Finnish Internet (Appendix: “results-2019-01-speed test”).

Speedtest.com is an open and reliable online speedometer for Finns. No operator-level data has been published in the data, but in addition to the test period, the region, the city and the metrics at this level are seen: Download speed, transmission speed, response time and jitter.

Speed Test Remarks

— The average download and transmission speeds are not at the level promised by the operators;
— There are no major differences in averages between cities (the differences may be more visible in distances?)
— When the average is weak, the individual high results and the lower end are flat – this still leaves the average in bad light.
