Urban transport perimeter
Description
An urban transport perimeter concerns the territory of a municipality or the territorial jurisdiction of a public institution which has been tasked with organising public passenger transport. At the request of the mayor or president of the public institution, the representative of the State shall observe the creation of the perimeter, after consulting the General Council in the event that the departmental plan is concerned. [.] In the overseas departments, the representative of the State, on a proposal from the mayor or the president of the public establishment, may define a perimeter excluding certain parts of the territory of the municipality.
The urban transport perimeter may also include several adjacent municipalities that have decided to organise a public passenger transport service. The creation and delimitation of this perimeter shall be determined by the representative of the State at the request of the mayors of the municipalities concerned after the opinion of the General Council.
Only PTUs in development or validated are part of this class of objects.
Except in particular cases defined by law, the decree establishing a community of agglomeration or an urban community or the order for the transformation of a public establishment of inter-municipal cooperation into a community of agglomeration or an urban community shall mean the establishment of an urban transport perimeter in accordance with the law on urban solidarity and renewal.
The perimeters over which the SRU mixed trade unions, created by application of the SRU law, exercise their powers are not urban transport perimeters.
