Description

Statistics on jobseekers registered with France Travail (former. Job centre) cover the number and characteristics (age, category, etc.) of registered jobseekers and the inflows and outflows from the lists. The data are published on a quarterly basis and refer to the average values during the quarter (stocks, flows). The series published on jobseekers registered in France travail are seasonally and working day adjusted (CVS-CJO). The coefficients of working days and seasonal variations shall be revised in February of each year when all the raw data of the previous year are available for that revision. Category B: jobseekers required to make positive job-seeking acts, having carried out a short reduced activity (of 78 hours or less during the month). Category C: jobseekers required to make positive acts of job search, having carried out a long reduced activity (more than 78 hours during the month). Category D: jobseekers not required to perform positive acts of job search, unemployed. They can be in internship or training, in sickness, in contract of professional security (CSP). Category E: jobseekers not required to make positive acts of job search, in employment (e.g. beneficiaries of supported contracts, start-ups). These statistical categories, used for publication purposes, are the result of a grouping of the operational categories used by Pôle emploi in its management of the lists of jobseekers.
