Hydrological monitoring of the lones of the lower valley of the Ain
Description
The lones are dead arms still partially connected to the stream during floods. Their study was therefore undertaken, to understand the sedimentary dynamics that will decide on their maintenance or landing.
The follow-up by Irstea Lyon of the Ain cones takes place within the framework of the Rhône-Alpes Region’s programme “anthropic changes in sedimentary flows of rivers, responses of aquatic ecosystems and restoration actions” and by the national programme ACI “ECCO” PNRH, “Study of the hydro-sedimentary functioning of river annexes”.
