Description
On 15 September 2015, the Court of Auditors published a report on the application of social security financing laws, drawn up in the context of its constitutional task of assisting Parliament and the Government. Despite the persistence and magnitude of social deficits, which remain an anomaly, their reduction was limited in 2014, as in 2013. 2015 is expected to see a marked slowdown in the pace of deficit reduction and the stated objective of a balance of social accounts in 2017 is now postponed indefinitely. The Court identifies possible new areas of reform to help restore this balance.
