Description
The issue of consular passes can be a particularly difficult obstacle to the removal of illegal aliens. Indeed, when a foreigner pending removal does not present a passport, the prefecture must apply for a pass from the consulate of the country of which he is supposed to be the national. It is often because of this pass that the return to the border cannot take place. But the Ministry of the Interior is mobilised to encourage the consular authorities to increasingly cooperate.
