15058 — Exceptional admission volumes for foreign nationals
Description
The exceptional admission to the stay of foreigners present in France in an irregular situation is carried out on a case-by-case basis on the basis of the foreigner’s individual situation.
This power of regularisation was codified in 2006 in article L. 313-14 of the CESEDA. This article provides for exceptional admission to stay on the basis of humanitarian or personal considerations of the person concerned.
Such admission may take the form of issuing a “private and family” residence card or, failing that, a “employee” residence card.
