Description
**Appeals to the Board of Appeal against Visa Refusals (CRRV)**
The number of appeals brought before the CRRV increased by 7.5 % in 2013 to the record number of 18 994 appeals. This increase, unlike in 2012, seems, however, to be no longer solely linked to the communication by the posts of the grounds for refusal and remedies (generalised to short-stay visas in April 2011 under the Community Visa Code), but more as a result of the quantitative increase in the issuance of visas.

Reading note:_
The difference between the figures on the two lines, which becomes very high from 2011, corresponds to cases deemed inadmissible or dismissed or implicitly rejected.
