Overseas visas represent only a small percentage of total visas issued (1.6 %). The figures do not show a steady evolution. After a decrease between 2006 and 2007 (-4.7 %), the sharp recovery since 2008 (+ 12 % between 2009 and 2010) and the stabilisation observed in 2011 (+ 1.4 %), the number of visas had fallen by 9.4 % in 2012 and again increased by almost 6 % in 2013.
