15036 — Visas issued for the establishment of minors in France
Description
In 2013, the number of visas for adoption, with a slight recovery in 2008 (+ 4.4 %), followed by a slight decrease in 2009 (-10 %) and 2010 (-0.7 %), confirms the sharp contraction (-15.4 %) observed since 2011.
There is also a decrease for the category of minor foreign children dependent on French nationals (653 visas in 2013 compared to 746 in 2012).
The recovery (445 visas in 2012 compared to 327 in 2011) observed for minor foreign children of spouses of French nationals is confirmed (+ 21 % in 2013 after the very sharp decrease in 2011 (-50 %).
Visas issued for minor children accompanying a “visitor” alien are stable after a slight increase (around 6 % in 2012).
In total, the trend was -4.8 % between 2013 and 2012, excluding adoption, confirming the decrease observed since 2011. Over a long period of time, this figure fluctuates between about 5,000 and 6,000.
