Results of official health controls: “Alim'confiance” information device

Description

The publication of the results of health checks in the food sector (restaurants, canteens, slaughterhouses, etc.) is a legitimate expectation of citizens who contribute to improving consumer confidence. Provided for by the Avenir Act for Agriculture, Food and Forestry of 13 October 2014, this measure is part of a move towards greater transparency of State action. The decree on the transparency of State controls in the field of food safety in France published on 17 December 2016 generalises the experiment carried out in Paris and Avignon from July to December 2015. The publication of the results of the checks carried out from 1 March 2017 in all establishments in the food chain will be effective from 3 April 2017, on the website www.alim-confiance.gouv.fr. **What are the sectors of activity concerned?** The aim is to make public the results of official food safety controls carried out in all establishments in the food chain: slaughterhouses, retail outlets (mouth trades, restaurants, supermarkets, markets, farm sales, etc.), group restaurants and agri-food establishments. **What are the display terms and conditions?** Establishments for direct delivery (restaurants, food trades, distributors) and catering establishments will have the opportunity to display on their front the level of hygiene of the establishment. This poster will be sent to them by the State Departmental Services.
