While the median standard of living of the population of metropolitan France was €1,650 per month in 2012, half of those living in a household with a guaranteed minimum income had less than €920. Persons receiving the Adult Disability Allowance (ADA) have the highest median standard of living at €1,210. The higher amount of the AAH takes into account their total or partial incapacity to work. The beneficiaries of the RSA activity alone and those benefiting from the minimum old age are at 1,000 euros per month. This is followed by recipients of the specific solidarity allowance (SSA) and their families with less than EUR 960 per month for half of them. The smallest recipients are those who are least well placed in employment: 820 euros for the RSA base increased and 740 for the RSA base not increased.
