Work Holiday Program (PVT)
Description
The **working holiday programme** is aimed at young people between the ages of 18 and 30 (35 for Argentina and Canada), and wishing to expatriate, for a maximum period of one year, for tourist and cultural purposes in one of the partner countries, with the opportunity to work locally to supplement their financial means.
The framework of this programme is specified, on a reciprocal basis, by a bilateral agreement concluded by France with 15 countries or territories (to date): Japan, New Zealand, Australia, Canada, Russia, Argentina, Hong Kong, Chile, Colombia, Taiwan, Uruguay, Mexico, Brazil and Peru (entered into force but not yet implemented due to the Covid crisis).
The dataset updated on 23/03/2021 consists of **three resources**:
— An accompanying leaflet presenting semantics and open data management rules
— A “List of PVT Agreements” resource presenting the various agreements signed between France and the partner countries
— A “PVT History” resource presenting the quantitative elements of PVT per year and by agreement.
