Pensions: Women receive a 26% lower pension than men in 2012

At the end of 2012, 15.3 million people living in France or abroad received a direct de jure pension of EUR 1 282 gross on average per month, earned in return for their past professional activity. Due in particular to the more favourable careers of new pensioners, this average pension increased by 2.4% over four years in constant euro terms. Since 2008, the number of pensioners has also increased by almost one million.
