This data provides information on the public procurement contracts (MAPA) carried out by the central purchasing body of the City of Montpellier from 2012. These are primarily purchases of supplies of all types.
Contracts above the thresholds laid down in Article 26 of the Code shall be subject to the formalised procedures required by Community law.
Below those thresholds, the constitutional principles require only respect for fundamental principles, freedom of access, equal treatment of candidates and transparency of procedures, but leave buyers free, within the framework of those principles, to organise their procedure as they see fit.
The Public Procurement Code designates them as adapted procedure contracts (MAPA) because the procedure must be adapted to the nature and characteristics of the need to be met, the number or location of economic operators likely to respond to it and the circumstances of the purchase.
