Green and Marathon Network
Description
This data informs the Green Network and the Marathonienne de Montpellier. The Green Network which aims to connect the nature spaces of the city. The City of Montpellier wishes to develop a network of pedestrian and cycle paths in a natural setting throughout the city based on the green and blue grid (rivers, agricultural areas, natural areas, green areas). Sections already exist such as the pedestrian continuity of the Lez Vert between the domain of Lavalette and the domain of Meric, as well as on the West of Montpellier.
This green frame is also intended to ensure biological connections between the different spaces of nature.
This is to ensure the maintenance or enrichment of biodiversity.
The Marathonienne is a pedestrian or cycling circuit, eventually of 42 km which is the length equivalent to the sporting event of the Marathon. The course is part of the Green Network.
