Description
This data informs the areas considered by law as priority neighborhoods in the municipality of Montpellier.
The perimeters of the priority districts of the city policy are fixed by the decree n° 2014-1750 of December 30, 2014 for the metropolis.
Article 5 of the Planning Law for the City and Urban Cohesion of 21 February 2014 lays down the procedures for reforming the priority geography of city policy. These are detailed, for the metropolis, in Decree No. 176; 2014-767 of July 3, 2014 on the national list of priority neighborhoods of the city policy and its particular modalities of determination in the metropolitan departments and, for the overseas territories, in Decree n° 2014-1575 of 22 December 2014 on the procedures for determining the priority areas of city policy specific to the overseas departments, Saint-Martin and French Polynesia. These perimeters replace sensitive urban areas (Zus) and neighbourhoods under an urban contract for social cohesion (Cucs) as of 1 January 2015.
