City of Gelsenkirchen: RVR - Association green areas
Description
More than 60 percent of the area of the Ruhr Metropolis is listed in the "Verbandsverzeichnis Grünflächen" of the Ruhr Regional Association (RVR) as a particularly protected and supra-local important open space. These include the classic open spaces such as forests, parks, waters and fields as well as the second-hand open spaces: Hedges, industrial wastelands and numerous other residual areas with supra-local significance for the regional open-air area system (source: RVR)
