Malm - distribution, depth and facies distribution

Description

The map shows the distribution of the Malm spreading at the earth's surface, the depth of the Purbeck or Malm surface in meters below normal zero as well as the drilling used as bases, disturbances in the area of the Malm surface, the circumference of possible malm-free areas on the Landshuter-Neuöttinger-Hoch (LNH), the tectonic boundaries to the wrinkle molasse or to the alpine blankets, the outline of the Nördlinger Riese and the facies distribution in the Malm. The geometries are designed for a viewing scale of 1:500,000 and are partially generalized. The map offers the possibility to determine the depth position of the Malm surface for a given location and to estimate the expected temperatures for this depth position from the temperature maps. It does not replace the carrying out of detailed investigations.
