Description

Geographical outlines of the new departmental electoral cantons stemming from the municipal boundaries of OpenStreetMap and the division published in the Official Journal. This data comes from crowdsourcing carried out by the contributors to the OpenStreetMap project and is therefore under ODbL license which requires an identical sharing and the mandatory attribution mention must be “**© OpenStreetMap contributors under ODbL** license” in accordance with [http://osm.org/copyright](http://osm.org/copyright) ## Description of the contents of “cantons 2015” files ### Data Origin The data come from the municipal breakdown from the OpenStreetMap cartographic database (made up from the cadastre made available by DGFiP on cadastre.gouv.fr) and from the reading of the Official Journal. Information on the legal population [from INSEE](http://insee.fr/fr/themes/detail.asp?reg_id=0&ref_id=cantons-2015).
