Study of the effect of the Aznalcóllar spill on Doñana birds and their environment
Description
The project is based on the analysis carried out on Doñana birds and their environment (79 species) regarding the bioaccumulation of heavy metals in different parts of the body: liver, muscle and kidney. Breeding and wintering seasons have been chosen for this study (1998/2001). The degree of threat of each species and the degree of contamination by zones are also defined.
