Clay content of the top mineral floor horizon for all field blocks of CCWasser1 and CCWasser2 in Lower Saxony
Description
For all field blocks currently classified as CCWater1 and CCWater2, the soil types according to the soil study instructions, 4th edition (KA4) of the top mineral soil horizons according to their clay content are shown in the map.
Legal basis: According to the derogating requirements (§ 3(4)) of the Lower Saxony Ordinance on agricultural land at risk of erosion of 4 February 2011,
(4) On arable land belonging to the erosion hazard class CCWasser1 or CCWasser2 and on which the upper soil has a clay content of more than 25 per cent, (...) ploughing is permitted by way of derogation from Section 2 (2) sentence 1 or paragraph 3 of the Agricultural Payments Obligations Ordinance if:
1.The plow furrow is further processed after 15 February; and
2.Immediately grown with a row spacing of less than 45 cm of summer cereals, grain legumes, summer rapeseed, field fodder, sugar beet or maize or grassland is cultivated.
In order to meet this “deviating requirement”, all soil areas on the respective arable stroke must have a clay content of more than 25 %. For an initial assessment of whether this condition is met on arable strike, the map depicts the areas of the soil estimation or the BÜK50 according to the clay content of the top mineral soil horizon for all field blocks classified CCWasser1 and CCWasser2 in Lower Saxony. In the case of Lu (sluffy clay) with clay levels between 17-30 %, proof must be provided that the clay content in the relevant soil area is greater than 25 %.
